Ok well I want to do two things..make my cpu faster, and make my mem timings tighter..

How should I fix my memory timings?
    Would it really help?
    I currently got this:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...450#DetailSpecs

And my CPU on my mobo has a multiplyer thing in it. Its currently set to auto, should I change it to a specific one or just keep it auto?
    btw, i got an AMD 3800 x2 :D

go into BIOS and just mess around. try to experiment to see what your ram and CPU are capable of. first lower the CPU bus/ram from 200 to say 100 and then mess around to see how low you can get your timings. 2 2 2 5 is pretty good. then lower your multiplier way low. up the bus until you have to start uppping the timings a little to get the PC to boot then back down from that just a little. then work on upping your CPUs multiplier until you can't boot up(make sure to up you voltage for both but not by much) and after that back down a little. make sure you know where the jumper reset is on your motherboard.

also, make sure your comp is set to 1T timings.

I don't see why you need to OC your proc, its good for gaming right? shouldn't lag for general use either.
