Alright, last night I went to dry my hair and a fuse popped which caused my computer and everything in my room to lose power. After obtaining power for everything I turned on my computer. Problem being there is no "Local Area Connection" for the internet, it doesn't even show that one is there. I tryed making a new network connection, restarting my router/modem, all that kind of stuff. See I have a home network, my fathers computer is directly connected to the internet and my is connected to his and thats how I get internet. My problem being how do I get my "Local Area Connection" back and working! This has happened before but it seemed to have came back on its own after a few hours, I'm not home right now so I don't know if it works or not, but last night this happened and I tryed it this morning and nothing. So I'm not sure what to do. Any help would be great!!! Help me out! Anyone please!!! Here is something I found: "Typically, most computers running a member of the Windows Server 2003 family are connected to a local area network. When you start your computer, your network adapter is detected and the local area connection automatically starts. Unlike other types of connections, the local area connection is created automatically, and you do not have to click the local area connection in order to start it." So I'm guessing that my netork adapter isn't being detected... right? or something to that extent. If that is the case how do I get my network adapter to be detected manualy as it is not working automatically?
