Recently my connection has been disconnecting me every 3-5 minutes for some strange reason. Does anyone know why this could be ?

Does your modem reset or lose the sync light? Or does your modem stay the same but your PC drops the signal?

Well it's a router that i am using at the moment. There are 4 computers in the house and they are all doing the same.

When i repair the connection it says "Connecting to wireless network" and it doesn't go past that. A few minutes later it says it was unable to connect. BUT it connects me somehow, even though it's saying it's not connected. But it cuts out after 3-5 minutes.

    Then the process repeats.

What is your router connected to? Do you have a DSL/CAble Modem which your router plugs into? Or is your modem an all in one with a router built in?

First thing, if all machines are doing it, it is probably your router, I would set it back to factory defaults and test to see if it still does it or replace it all together.

Either way there should be a sync light on it somewhere to let you know it has the signal, watch that light, if it goes out, you need to contact your ISP.

There is a light which says "Wlan" which keeps randomly flashing off and on, i'm not sure what that means but i don't think it's supposed to do that.

I am using a wireless connection and the phone line is BT.

If anyone has any solutions to this problem i would be greatly appreciated.

    Also some more info.

The power light is always on,
The Syn light is always on,
The Data light is always on,
But the Wlan light is randomly flashing on and off, on and off. :(

Some more information :) I guess the more i can give you the easier it is for you guys to solve.

When i get disconnected - which is arround every 5 minutes. I have to click repair to get me connected again. But when reparing it says "connecting to wireless network" or something like that. Then it says ""

But i can still to on the internet etc.... even though it said it could not connect. Although this only lasts for 5 minutes then the process repeats.

Also, when i go to Start --> Connect To --> Wireless Network Connection. Mine is listed there. It says at the top right "Not Connected" with a star next to it. But when i click on it the only option it gives me is to disconnect. It's contradicting it's self.

Well, thats all the information i can give :)

Try resetting your router to factory settings :-/ its to do with your route if it's happening to ALL your ocmputers.
