my computer is kinda a slow computer, but I dunno why. I have 384 megs of ram, a 933 mhz(yeah, old, I know) CPU, a 300 watt PSU, a 20 gig(small, trust me, I know) hard drive.

If you need anymore info, I'm sure I could dig it up. Anyone help me?

run virus scan, ad-aware, spybot, microsoft antispyware, defrag.
If your hard disc is low on space delete some stuff and have at least 1-1.5gb's space.

I have about 7 gigs of space. I run virus scan everyday. Adaware comes once a week. I have ad aware pro, so I don't need the others, and I defrag once a month.

Anyone else have tweeks or anything to speed up my comp?
And will having a bigger HD speed it up?

adaware pro doesnt catch everything. try spybot and ms antispyware.
Also do you use firefox? Do you have any excess programs running in the background. Go ctrl+alt+delete and tell me how many processes it says is running in the bottom left hand corner.

to get ms antispyware to go microsoft.com

I suggest a 2nd HD to add on. Also you dont have that much ram. Another ram card would speed things up. ;)

    I did, 3 times...

And as for the 2nd hard drive and ram.

I'm on an old dell, it said somewhere it'll only go up to a certain amount. Is that true?

And the hard drive I want drastically, along with VC, and processor. But for that, I may as well buy a new one <_<

You cant upgrade your pc really. There would be no point you wouldnt be able to go better with your processor you could get ram but most probably dell would make you use their ram as thats all the mb probably takes.
