    OK, rather than just slapping your computer when it runs slow, here is something you can do.

    Do these in order:

    -Delete any large files or programs you dont use often by going here,
    Start->My Computer->(On the left) Add or Remove Programs
    It tells you how often you use the program, and it uninstals it right there!

    --This will clean up and delete any not needed temporary internet files, cookies or anything else that isnt needed. Wont delete any programs.
    Start->All Programs->Accesories->Disk Cleanup

    ---Compacts your hard drive files and programs. Fills in the gaps. Everything is still runable and works, just fills in the gaps.
    Start->All Programs->Accesories-Disk Defragmentation

    I have been doing this for years, i do this weekly it keeps my computer running smoothly. This isnt some trick or anything, you get these programs with any computer this isnt hacked or anything. My dad told me to do this with my computer to keep it fast and efficient about 3 years ago! So i always do this. You dont have to do step one so often, but clean it as best you can. Run the second and third a lot though. These could take a while, set it up and go to sleep it takes about an hour so it'll be done in the morining.

    Hope this helps.

    Another good utility for keeping your computer running slowly is TuneUp Utilities 2004/2006. Just google it and you'll get their main site. I know there's a free version but I don't remember if you have to pay for a full or not.

    Also, I suggest getting Adaware, Spybot- Search & Destroy, and Spyware Blaster.

    Hope it helps some.
