This computer, my uncles, seems to run quite slow and have problems multi-tasking.

I want to know if its just that his PC sucks :P or if theres possible Spyware or a Virus.

I dont know what you need to tell me if this is good or bad, is this enough information?

    Code:
    Processor 1 (ID = 0)
    Number of cores: 1
Number of threads: 1 (max 1)
    Name: AMD Athlon XP
    Codename: Thoroughbred
    Specification: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2600+
    Package: Socket A (462)
    CPUID: 6.8.1
    Extended CPUID: 7.8
    Core Stepping: B0
    Technology: 0.13 um
    Core Speed: 2099.0 MHz (12.5 x 167.9 MHz)
    Rated Bus speed: 335.8 MHz
    Instructions sets: MMX (+), 3DNow! (+), SSE
L1 Data cache: 64 KBytes, 2-way set associative, 64-byte line size
L1 Instruction cache: 64 KBytes, 2-way set associative, 64-byte line size
L2 cache: 256 KBytes, 16-way set associative, 64-byte line size
    FID/VID Control: no
    K7 Thermal sensor: yes
As I said, its not my PC, but it seems that the computer runs rather slow.

    hmm, Socket A...

what is the memory on this system, and what Operating System?

well, they weren't the fastest things around, but you got pretty good speeds with it..

I think it's just filled with spyware...

I once had to reformat my friend's computer becuase it was so full of spyware that after 3 hours of running Ad Aware, it was only 5% done... and took 2 minutes to open a folder...

    Memory Type: DDR
    Memory Size: 256 MBytes

Heh, got it, I'll tell him to buy another 256 and show him how to put it in, or just tell him hes better off buying a 512 and keeping the 256 :D

    yep, yep, yep...

unless the board does not fully support Dual channel, 512 (2 x 256) in dual is better than just two single 256 sticks.
