I was using Pinnacle Studio 9 Quickstart, and it froze, and wouldn't unfreeze so I used CTRL Alt Delete and ended it with the task manager...however, it will not close and whenever i minimize or close another window, that window freezes in the space where Studio was.

Does anyone know of a way to end this other than Task Manager, or is there a program or something that can just brute force shut it down?

In task manager go to the processes tab and end the process.

Thats the point, I'm doing that and it doesn't end, it just stays up there and slows stuff down.

    Restart your PC's

Its possibly you're out of memory, or your programs corrupt..

On the next reboot, try defraging your HD and run a tune up utility like Norton Disk Doctor.
