    Hey my comp is normally quiet, then it goes bonko's and makes a really loud noise as if its gonna blow. So i shut it off, restart it and its no longer there, but then a few hours later its back... any idea how to fix this or wat it is and is it hard to fix?

    Open up the case and clean it out. Make sure all fans are ok and such, including cpu fan.

    could be one of your drives dieing, or your cpu/case fan is unbalanced.

    Happens with my PC all the time --;

    It just means your fan is working harder to cool the PC.

    ^not always.. most fans should stay at a constant speed, unless they are controlled by hardware or software.

    yeah, something is getting in the road of one of your fans therefore making a loud noise, but when you mean 'as if its gonna blow up' does it sound like a bomb is being dropped or does the sound get a higher pitch ?

    If it sounds like an aeroplane, I'd clean out the fan or get a new one. My pc started sounding like an aeroplane and the psu blew up. Had to go buy a new one <3

    my cpu fan sounded like a screaming yeti, because a wire got stuck in it, and broke one of the fins. bought a new one, fixed...

    Depends what you mean by "it's gonna blow".
    Either the smal vibrations that are hitting against the wall, or if it's a grindy sound, then all it is is a sign of your computer getting old.
