Do you need a monitor, keyboard, mouse? and also i'd wait a bit untill some more core duo chips and mobo's are out and build a system around a core duo

lets say twisted doesnt have any patience and desides to get a system now, compared to july. switch out the Athlon 4000+ with a x2 +3800 and for the hard drives, get a 36 GB Raptor and a 200 to 300 GB Barracuda. change the dvd drive to a NEC CD-DVD R/RW. Probably want an Antec TruePower PSU. Case is up to you. What GFX card do you have now? Do the cards have to be the same to SLi? I don't remember.
I also recomend waiting... conroe(core2 duo) is coming out in less than a month... there's about a 20% performance gain over core1... and core1 was on par with the athlon x2s... if you can't wait, get an opteron 165 or 170... those OC far better than the standxard x2s AND they have more cache(while cache isn't as important as raw clock speed it does help) also get DDR500sdram it's a fair amount better... doesn't really cost anymore either... my 2GB of G. SKILL DDR500 sdram was as low as 155 at a time...
ohh also only idiots get the raptor X... the standard WD1500 performs identically to the raptorX and is essentially the same thing but costs 50$ less... only diference is some stupid window.
