    Nice builds.

not if you want a cheap dual core, intel is the better way to go (when i say cheap, some of you think $300 is cheap for a 14 yr old, its not), $140ish is a really cheap price for a processor that wont be as absolete as lets say a $140 pentium 4

I just turned 15 and bought 450 bucks in computer parts for christmas. actually i was 14 at the time too...plus i just got a new HD, monitor, keyboard and mouse...that totalled out to 390 bucks, so thats almost 850 bucks i've spent of my money on this PC. So yea someone at 14 who has less that 300, well..learn to manage your money? get a job? idk xD

    btw.

    Intel Sucks.

EDIT: ok anyway tho, for that first set of builds, if you wanted to go intel you can replace to this intel cpu for same price:

i also got a ----load into my computer. this past christmas season i got a new processor ($245), motherboard ($50), RAM ($75), CD/DVD drive ($40), and a new case ($90). and for my past birthday i got a 300 gb hdd ($130); in addition to the 160 gb $110 hdd i bought a few weeks ago. so i also have spent a few bucks, around $750ish, and it will be towards $1000 whenever i get a new video card. sure i coulda easily maxed out on one thing, like an x2 +4200 etc, i just didnt feel like doing that, wanted a more balenced computer.

You should add a second hard drive to that last one for raid 0, then it'd be ultimate :D

    There ok builds.
But yeah, maybe add one more for higher level gaming ect.

Intel does suck :P Id only say its ok to buy an intel cpu for a LOW low budget pc. So low that its not even worth buying cause it will be outdated in a month :P

All of intels cpus are horrible and even they know it. Amd beats them everytime. However, intel is coming out with a new processor soon, they did some bench mark tests and it beat the amd fx 60 by FAR. I think intel ditched the hole HyperThreading trash and finally got on the bandwagon. But yeah, it looks like intel might be back in the game soon.

Id recommend at least getting a 64 cpu at least. 32 bit will be outdated soon enough ;p

Actually, they don't beat the FX 60 by far(the exception being the rumored conroe XE, though that is sure to cost a small fortune and be hard to obtain due to the inability to be prioduced in volume[it would have to be of the very best silicon as it's clock speed would be far too high for it's core architecture]), they are only marginally behind it. But at predicted retail prices it is far cheaper. Also, they haven't ditched hyperthreading, HT is built into the current core duos, it's just permanently disabled on retail procs as fo this moment. HT does help, just not a ton.
