Well I was watching the news and it was talking about how a University student (forgot what college) was depressed because his friend killed himself (I believe by jumping off a bridge). He then went to get some counseling and the university found out he was depressed and expelled him from the campus. They said they did it to prevent anything bad happening at the / campus. What is your take on this? I think its completely stupid.
Yeah that was a pretty slack effort on behalf of the College.. It is their duty to help out in those kinds of situations **sniffs** I smell a lawsuit coming
umm maybe they expelled him because he said he had urges to kill everyone, or had dreams of slashing all of his teachers or something like that. I highly doubt a uni would expel a student for no reason.
I think that is pretty stupid. I can understand why the school did it, but it was a bad move. I mean, the kid admitted he needed help and was taking steps to get it.
Exactly... Now this poor dude's probably in worse shape then he was before his mate killed himself.. And if he does do something stupid (eg.. take the easy way out), then his blood will be in the College's hands.. and that will most definately be worse for them then if he killed himself on campus or whatever..
The college should atleast offer him some therapy. I don't think expelling him is going to fix his problem. Could have worse consequences by doing that. Hmm will see.
They wouldn’t kick him out with out a reason you have to go though about 3 boards to get kicked out and you have loads of ppl you can go to if you have problems well you can at my uni
something like this has kind of happened to someone at my uni, had to postpone his degree and drop out of the year due to medical reasons, still allowed to live her and everything.. Daz
