Cod4 - Prestige Mode

So, once you pass level 55 you have the option for Prestige mode, although I've heard that all is does it take away all of your guns and perks? Why would anyone want to do this if the only thing you'll get is another rank?

Have any of you used the Prestige mode and what are your thoughts?

 

It's for people that want to show off their ranks. Since there are only 55 ranks, once people hit that they want to rank up more. With prestige mode this allows people to get a total of 605 ranks I believe.

 

im at prestige 1 on level 43

i thought it was a good decision. but when you start all over again its pretty hard with just an m16 and an ak, especially with no sights. but you do loose all of your challenges, weapons, weapon camos, and attachments. you do keep your stats though. if your thinking about prestige make sure your spend a lot of time with the .50 cal Barret and the special gun you get a lvl 55, cuz i miss them.

but overall i thought i made a good decision, online started to get boring at lvl 55 when you dont earn any xp.

 

im thinking about going into the prestige part of the game once i reach lvl 55, not sure yet though..

 

Can't you make more profiles? one prestige and one not.

 

Not unless you have more than one Xbox Live account. You cannot have 2 profiles on the same account.

 

I'm barely a level 40 so I won't be doing it. Once I get to 55, I'll start completing everything like challenges, etc, instead.

 

Yeah I'm also playing cod4 on prestige mode

 

Its insane that you would have to do it 10 times to really get the perks out of it...but if you look on the Xbox 360 top list the guy has insane amount of kills and wins and still isn't rank 10 for prestige.

 

i have it for PC, rank 52 i think atm...

i want to do all the challenges first and then start on prestige.

but yes, if u have it for pc u can just make 2 profiles and have 1 prestige one not.

 

might want to look again cause yes NOX Ryan has reached lvl 55 on the 10th prestige lvl
you get nothing for doing it btw no extra perks and what not

 

u only get a different rank symbol or w/e, at least from what i read.

all you do is loose all of your guns and all of the challenges that you have done too i belive. The good part is is that you get to show off what you have done by the cool new simbols, exept if your having a bad day, people look up to you more to get wins for their team. Personaly i dont think im going to do it just because of all the work id have to do over, i dont know what its like for you PC users but i play it for the 360 so its probbably a different story for me.

 

im at prestige mode 2 is cool but happen to u reach the last prestige mode eH ??????????????????????????
