I hope they do a lot of improvements to the game. It was already good with COD4, but they left a lot of room for advancement.

Another CoD I won't be purchasing.
They clearly know they can completely bs their way through making this game since people will buy it no matter what.

So many franchises are getting the Madden syndrome!
    Terrible times for gamers.

I dunno if you can completely say its a terrible time for gamers. we have had great consoles come out and some good quality games. some stand out from the pack others fade into the shadows. but its always been like this in gaming. Also maybe the financial crunch in the states is also hitting game developers also. but this is just my opinion :P as for the madden franchise dont you think it'd kind of stink to have to come out with a new game every year at around the same time and be expected to always blow people away with some new crazy feature? Also the reason madden's sold so well was people wanted to play as the updated teams with better comp A.I's thats just my opinion.

But people would get more if they released a Madden game every other year, it just doesn't make sense to me to buy a game that is genuinely the same thing for full price.
By my statement I meant that in terms of how games are becoming more and more of the same.

FPS games are taking over completely, but I guess it's been like that for some time now.

As far as updated AI goes, could they not fix it with a patch?
I'm sure if they really wanted to they could, but they apparently need the money in order to become the monopoly of game developers.

Games have always taken the same steps in creating games, not just FPS, name one RPG that doesn't take on the Monomyth method of story... If you were a game dev, would you not make the same game with different maps if you knew it would sell millions? Hell, I would sell my nail clippings if I knew they would sell for $10. And thats not an exaggeration, look at all the people who cash in on Jesus Bread, OMG He's on my Doorway too!!

I agree with smallpau, you could also say the same for any type of movie they all really follow the same type of plot for every genre. same with books. everything in your opinion im guessing is all based off the same. and the saying "if it aint broke dont fix it" i think applies. they still make a fortune if you buy the game or not pretty much.

I know I'm the minority here and I can respect your opinions.
I guess KZ2 will have to keep my FPS game hunger in check for a while.

This one will rock since they are the creators of CoD.

but old news, everyone knew that CoD6 would be IW.

If its another modern warfare, i'll buy it. I'm proberbly going to skip cod5.

  14. With a game like this, I'm obviously not going to run out and buy it like I did the first Modern Warfare. A handful of my friends bought CoD:WaW and hated it, and I rented it and hated it. It's a hype issue, and only games like Halo and Gears of War have been known to live up to it.
