First in ages, any comments to help me improve would be much appreciated.. first one i've done using C4Ds.

this lacks color and somewhat missing basic elements like depth and lighting.

 

Thats one with the gradient map gone.. i duno maybe i should scrap the whole thing and start again. I found it hard to add any depth at all to this thing. I was thinking of adding a light source on the left but my skills dont go that far yet! Perhaps the next sig LOL

 

Don't use random lighting spots as I can see the differential line between them. Also if you are going to use C4D's...Use Hue/Saturate to get great C4D's. Step 1: Add C4D to tag. Step 2: Image>Hue/Saturation. mess around with the settings. KIU though
