well, mods seem to be doing TOO good of a job

    2 of my concerns

    - posts being deleted by mods
    - threads being locked way too fast

If they're doing too good a job then that's a good thing. They are enforcing the rules set down by admins and agreed to by all who sign up here. And by closing threads and whatnot, they are preventing conflicts that could escalate into a lot of unnecessary flaming, etc.

    i dont really like that..

topics shouldnt be locked just like that.. also, people should be allowed to say whatever unless its extremely unacceptable without their post getting deleted

I'd like to see some examples of which topics were closed to fast, Mr Cheeky.

Often topics are closed before people get to reply because for that very reason: it'll end in flaming. Lets face it, rarely can the majority of GR population have a proper discussion.

I'm alittle confused on how closing a topic can be power hungry, Jill? I've always considered power hungry such things as taking bribes, or money under the table, and being a complete tyrant ;)

i wasnt saying that to you but its been really crazy around here you see alot of topics closed alot of posts deletd..there are alot of noobs and most of them yall dont even give second chances..

one example: im not gonna mention the mod that did this

some new guy with like 4 posts posted advertising in general discussion because he diddnt know there was a advertising sub forum under your stuff... a certain mod said account suspended topic closed... wouldnt it be better if you pmed him with a verbal warning or just move it to the advertising forum? if not then raise his warning to 20% not just suspend his account....i think alot of people deserve second chances ;)

I'm not saying the mods are perfect, because nobody is and Jill's post is an example of that. People do deserve second chances and to be honest, I do remember a time a few months ago when second chances for this kind of stuff was given. Aside from that, though, I still stand by my first post.

Never said it was directed at me, Jill..you read to much into my words ;)

So you think we should be less harsh on people who come to this site and advertise their site straight off, FIRST post in General Discussion? If people come here, and break rules right off the bat(especially advertising); they disrespect the owners and mods of this site.

I wonder if the people who advertise here, would like us advertising at their sites? I suppose i can start doing that, advertising for GameRenders at sites that post here.

and yes, i believe i was the person who said suspended this person you speak of. BTW BFTP stands for "Back" From The Past, not Blast omnia ;)

All 4 of his post were in that topic, Jill. Maybe "you" should of taken a second look. If not all 4, i'd say 2 or 3 of them were. That was his first post ;)
