I saw it this weekend and I really liked it. It was a unique movie and quite entertaining. A few of my friends and I were talking about it and we think there's enough that's been left unsaid for there to be a sequel, which I wouldn't mind seeing at all
Well I didnt pay, my friend did.. but $6 for a movie is cheap.... it usually cost like $8.50 after a certain time.. <_<
hhmm ive seen alot of mixed reviews about this movie either ppl love it like myself, or ppl hate it like the comment above. Personnaly i fink becoz of all the hype ppl were expecting way to much from the film, honestly what more could ppl have wanted in the movie that wasnt alrdy there without completely distrupting the film.i fort the acting was pretty good and the story was played out in the time it was given. People say crazy things like... '' a normal camcorder wunt be of that quality'' or ''the battery life was way too long''.... Oh please, if the film was run or normal battery life there would not be a film at all, and the same goes for the quality, we wunt have a film to view if that was the case. i fink ppl are just picking at little parts to make the film seem really bad. OK so we dont get a really clear view of the monster and we dont get given information on what is is, where it came from etc etc but think about real life... if this happened tomorrow we wud have no idea maybe even for a very long time n e info on a creature like that, i fink there will be a 2nd part, there has to be the film is wide open and has lots of unanswered questions which is bound to leave ppl wanted more.... just 1 word of advice... just try to fink outside the box on this 1, and i guarntee you will find a good enjoyable film.
not long now till the dvd arrives then its not coming out of my dvd player for a while. ordered the region 1 version as i cant be bothered to wait another 2/3 months to get it here in the UK
sorry for the late response guys, i thought this topic died off. Anyway i LOVED Cloverfield, it was just amazing and to those who found it confusing as hell, JJ Abrams said that they'll be making a Cloverfield series, and they already have a story created for it. So Cloverfield was just a brief introduction to the main story, apparently the monster in the movie is a 'lost new born' or something in those lines, now imagine how big the fully matured one would be. :\
already watched it 6 times this week  they cant make a cloverfield series imo, it would be just wrong. Japan has a cloverfield comic which looks pretty cool but idk about a series.. Yeh the monster from this film is just a baby who is scared of its surroundings and what is going on around it.
