Yes hes correct it helps in the latest games but only in the latest. It is also worthless to have 256mb ram on your video card if its only 128bit as it will not utilise that extra ram. Look into getting a 9800pro or a 9600pro instead if you decide to get an agp mobo which would be a poor decision. I would say get a pci-e mobo and sticking a x800GT/O into it, got that card and it plays everything except fear on full.
Out of these two cases, which is better and why cuz I can easily save 30 dollars right here..the cheaper one got a good power supply also.. 1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811209018 2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811144158 Also, I'm not forgetting any hardware I need am I?(other than HD-found nice one for 60 bucks, 16mb cache,250 gbs, 7200RPM) -CPU, Power supply, case, graphics card, MoBo, Memory... So far on all that I'm spending 750 bucks...or 720 if I choose the cheaper case, like i probly will..
you dont want to get a cheap psu. Just get a cheap or old case and this psu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817101513 its the best value for money atm.
FYI, the x800 GTO is obselete, ATi relased the X1000 series. you can find a compareably priced GFX card with a bit more power under the hood and with the possibility of being used under cross fire. as for case, look around at the fry's electronic's(or other local vendors) ads, The case I have cost 70$, but I saw ti for sale for 20$ it included a bunch of fans and a 420W PSU.
Ahh really..well I cant find any x1000 series on newegg and I dont want to spend much more money.. EDIT: For cases I found this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811164040 I think its pretty good..also this one, which isnt as good IMO but still decent for the price http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811125451
Oh...ok then XP.. I'll go for whatever one is 150 bucks.. Anyway...after lookin on newegg the only ones around that price is an "ATI FireMV 2200" for 160 bucks. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814102632
the x1600 will be released in two days for 150$ FYI... you can do whatever, but... here is a quick review I found off of google... http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/230 EDIT: after looking through the ratings, the GTO would probably be better, I am wrong sorry.
I see...ok thanks Ok so now my only problem is case and PSU... also i just thought of something..I'm gonna need to buy some cd drives and floppy drives huh?
case prolly antec lanboy (aluminium) and psu , antec 550W true power or to save some money get the e-power puma 2
yeah get one of those, the first one looks the best and then a Epower Puma II. Can you list the parts so far so we can get an overview.
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ $322 Motherboard: MSI K8N NEO2-F Athlon64 Socket939 $71.07 Memory: Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2PTe $106.90 Graphics Card: connect3D Radeon X800GTO $183 Case: Linkworld 3210 $19.99 Power Supply: ePOWER Puma II $46.50 Total Price: $749.46 None of that is including Shipping
instead of the msi motherboard get an ASRock Dual-SATA2 as lots of people have been having trouble with msi in the last 2 months, their latest series started out good, not anymore.
Allright well that saves me bout 3-4 dollars http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=MB-939DUAL or http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....=&Go.x=0&Go.y=0 newegg matters if the sale makes a big difference You sure this ones good?
