Well if it is in the _private folder, you could see it by going to http://Username.xwebhosting.org/_private

If you want it to be public, just upload it directly into the public_html folder and then you will be able to see it via http://Username.xwebhosting.org/

I had explained this you a couple times during the beginning but I will inform you again. :P

Where do you want the domain to be pointed to? The main directory a sub-directory on your account?

First though you must change the nameservers to the one found in the first post of this thread. Then decide where you want the domain pointed. To have it point to the main directory, add it as a Parked domain. To have it point to a sub-directory, add it as an Addon domain.

The only thing I need is the correct path and url I should use so I can upload stuff and then give somebody the URL so they can see/download the file.

    Ok Rapid, info sent.

[.BC.] Shukaku, when you upload something into the public_html folder, it would be the same as uploading it into www.yourname.xwebhosting.org. The Public_html folder is the main directory. If you upload to a folder below it, nobody except you can see it. If you upload into it, it is essentially public unless you change the files permissions. If you upload into the public_html/_private folder, only people who know your username and password will have access to the files.

I hope this helps you out more.

    -John

ALSO, no more sign ups for this week. 7/7 have signed up already. On Sunday, the counter will be reset.

I understand that. But whats the url to my public folder?

Everytime I try to acess my domain url it says to enter password and username, so I do, and it repeats it over and over again as if the information is wrong, yet I can log into the CPanel just fine. I uploaded a file via CPanel. what is the URL?

Its irritating. I tried myusername.whateverthehostingnameis.org/publicfoldername and it does the pass thing, then I get this:

    "Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

Additionally, a 401 Authorization Required error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. "

    I'm using firefox.

I'm still having the same problems. I can't acess the _private folder, as when it asks me my pass it tells me its wrong and get the 404 error thing. I also have no clue as to see any of my files moved into the public ftp/html folders.

    v.v

I even went into my own permissions to set up acess to the _private folder and still no luck.

You know, no offense, but when people buy hosting, I would expect for them to have some knowledge of what they were doing. But since you only wanted an FTP account in the first place, I will just make you an FTP account. Hopefully you will be able to work with that.

    Edit: FTP info sent...

No problem at all. And if you experience downtime again, simply let me know by PM and if I am online, I will look right into it. ^_^
