This is going to let you change the "Brand" of your computer and contact information through "My Computer (Properties)" without touching the registry.

    Lets start with the picture:

Take any bitmap that's about 175x175 pixels in size, though I think I have done mine up to around 200x200 before.

Note: Picture needs to be a Microsoft 8 Bit bitmap.

Next, you want to save the bitmap and name it oemlogo.bmp

Now, open up "My Computer" and navigate to: "C:\WINDOWS\system32." Then just move the picture into the folder.

Note: If you so wish and you already have a logo there, take the picture and back it up somewhere. Like, a USB or something if you want to keep it.

    Now for the text:

Open notepad type the text below and add the text to be displayed after the "=" (Don't space after the "=").

    Code:
    [Version]
    Microsoft Windows Whistler Edition
    WinVer=5.01

    [General]
    Manufacturer=
    Model=
    [Support Information]
    Line1=
    Line2=
    Line3=
    Line4=
    Ex: Line1="AKW"

you can create more lines if you wish

Then save it as oeminfo.ini into "C:\WINDOWS\system32"

Note: If you so wish and you already have a list there, take the list and back it up somewhere. Like, a USB or something if you want to keep it.

This is an example of a quick result:

Helped you on MSN. Good deal.

To make 8 bit images get in Photoshop and make it Indexed in Mode and save it as BMP and it will be 8 bit... 16 colors BMP for MS Paint.
