Hey, can anyone tell me how to edit which programs startup when my computer starts? I once found it, but since then I have lost it and I have quite a few programs that I don't want starting up with my computer, if anyone could lead me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Run, then type Msconfig. Then choose selective startup and then choose the programs you want to start when the cpu atarts.

Never use MSConfig to disable startup programs no matter what others have recommended. MSConfig is for troubleshooting purposes only. If you use it to disable startups and then run the program, you may cause what is known as a "memory leak" which does all sorts of strange things to your system. And disabling programs and services with it can get you into trouble that only a repair install can get you out of. Please note the warning found on the Microsoft site http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechn...cca4ddde5e.mspx concerning MSConfig.. Instead, use one of the following startup managers.
    00.. Codestuff Starter.

01.. Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel is an easy way of controlling the startup programs.
