I agree wit you completely on that. Any way I Like Chamillionaire most of his songs are hot. I just started listening to Bun B, can't believe I've been missing out on his stuff. Its weird that people haven't heard of Chamaillionaire cause everyone around me knows about him but it might be a location type of thing. Like my boy in Ohio has never Heard of Dipset.
Writing lyrics is not music, writing lyrics with a rhythm isn't music either unless there's actual melodies played in the background. Rappers don't make music - Producers do. Hip-hop is a lifestyle, and an art form (audio - "music") It is not racist to say hip-hop sucks unless the person specifically specifies that the intention of the statement was made against the culture or lifestyle. As for the age-old argument, Rock and Rap can never be measured on a scale of what's better. If it could, a person's opinion is invalid and therefore renders the whole argument obsolete. Read in between the lines and take in the whole concept before flaming. Note: it was flaming due to early posts with insults. EDIT: I'll have to check Chamillionaire out, I've heard his name but not his songs.
if you know anything about rap, you'll know that the "gems" are found in mixtapes or underground. g-unit has put the stamp of commercialism on rap, but who can blame them, if it works, it works. the two best mainstream artists today i think are nas and jay-z (my opinion). here are some listening suggestions if you're not really into mainstream hip hop/rap (albums/artists): az's "awol" common's "be" dj muggs's & gza's "grandmasters" jin's "presents the mc's proper'ganda" talib kweli's "right about now" z-ro's "let the truth be told" danger doom's "the mouse and the mask" blackalicious's "the craft" little brothers' "the minstrel show" buckshot's & 9th wonders's "chemistry" edan's "beauty & the beat" ohmega watts's "the find" immortal technique's "revolutionary vol. 1 & revolutionary vol.2" brother ali's "shadow of the sun" pumpkinhead's "orange moon over brooklyn" mos def the roots slum village jean grae masta ace not saying that if you don't listen to semi-full underground hip hop/rap means you're not a "real fan" although i know of others who think like that. if you like mainstream hip hop/rap that's fine, i listen to it. it's just some listening suggestions, that's all... sorry i got off topic...
Yea if you want to find some good songs by mixtapes. There are plenty of them out there. Just got to google and search mixtapes and it will bring you to a ton of sites that sell mixtapes.
Just a question the dude was askin' people for some good songs by Chamillionaire he wasn't askin' for you 2 cent's on rap so for one thing straight up shut your mouth
check out his song dissing paul wall....god he called paul wall straight up in that song....i was laughing my ass off after i was done listening to it
here are a couple of dope tracks off chamillionare's new album (in my mind): - sound of revenge (intro) - ridin feat. krayzie bone - southern takeover feat. killer mike & pastor troy - void in my life - rain feat. scarface & billy cook
Who do u prefer though ? Chamilliionaire or 50 Cent. In my opinion chamillionaire because 50 Cent is always rapping about the same thing so hes old as hell =\
dont get me started on 50 cent, chamillionaire is better, his fresh, his got lyrical talent and he doesnt annoy the sh*t out of me
