Carbonize - Ipb 2.3 Skin

Just a small preview of what I have so far. Nothing too special. This is a screenshot of an actual live example so no, I will not have a problem to code that userlinks strips

Bit stumped at the moment though, as to how to go about on the catheaders. I think I'm gonna sleep on that

The background, is it going to be solid scans or gradiation to a solid?

 

At the moment it's solid. But I might add a gradient to the top part later.

 

It's great, and pleasing to look at.
I'd love to see the finished product of this.

 

Ahh I see, just thinking constant scans could be a strain on the eyes, especially when scrolling

 

True, but they're fairly dark. They don't stand out too much so you're not really distracted or drawn to them when scrolling ^^

Updated with a view of the catheader. Thoughts are needed ^^ (It's collapsed inwards since I've only finished the heading itself, not the rest)

 

I assume the colour change in the middle is to show the options you can change it to?
Also, liked the thinner black stripes, like on the first pic.
The logo text is a little off.

With the 'test category' bit, I think extend the black bit, instead of the white coming out of the sides. If that makes sense.

 

Color change in the header is a bit of a slip up atm, but I fixed that
As for the stripes, made them less condense to sorta lighten the strain Lbot was mentioning.

And no, I don't get what you're at with the catheader thing

Well, I still prefer the thinner lines, but meh.

Ah, I see. But then I sorta loose the depth effect I'm going for. It'll just be a black bar then, with a grey one underneath

Either way it's still a great skin.

 

Nice skin but IPB 3.0.0 is out are you going to upgrade it to that or stick with 2.3?

 

Dunno. I no longer have my Ipb licence so I can't download the new version. Perhaps in the future though

Nice work mate. I like the header. Nothing fugly about it. The logo could use some work though however the layout and the usage of icons are enough for me to forgive you for the logo. Awesome work mate. BTW are you going to code it?
