For some reason when i open a video in WMP(windows media player)11 i cant see the video. I can upload it to youtube and watch it and it works perfect. Is this problem been discussed before, is there a way to fix it.

I just need a Decoder, can someone link me to the one they use?

more then likely you do not have the proper codecs

yes it still mostly like would be the case, can you hear the audio of the movie or clip? if so then you need a codec pack i suggest getting the k-lite codec pack.

Also download and use VLC Player as an alternative. You can get the codecs from http://www.doom9.org.

also, check what type of video you have if it doesn't play, then just google the code for download, always works for me :D

if you cant view AVI files i can almost 100% promise you its a codec issue.... you have a couple of options either find an AVI codec that is compatible with WMP11 or find a new media player

google VLC media player and/or media player classic

both are great and will play every video file you can throw at it.
