Far, and I mean far from a professional. A pro is a man / woman who actually designs for money, or any different way of payement. I dont. Therefore, im not a professional. Probably never will be, I use Photoshop and other designing applications, because that's my hobby, and I enjoy doing it.

Ok so someone just makes something mediocre and sells it for $5 and they are a pro? :P

I design websites for small companies and actually make some money, but I don't consider myself a professional designer.

There are professionals out there, where it is their job to design graphics for large companies. Few people that go to message boards like GR or even Fathom are professionals.

We can all learn new things and improve ourselves, but there is a difference between professional and perfect. ;)

Since when is NSL the official God forum of graphics? You are what you are, no need to be classed. "Oh I'm semi pro" Says who? 4 people from a forum? Yea, those people are in charge of every single sig on the internet, THEY are the only people to have OPINIONS.

    or this

    http://www.2advanced.com/

plus what makes you pro? your ability to manipulate c4d and blending options? or your ability to trace an image over in vector format?

and if that is so, our artwork is only limited by the flexibility of a program, i refuse to believe that.

    No.
To be professional is to actually have a degree in graphics design.
Not to make neat little pictures at an online forum.

I won't even call myself professional, and I have a legitimate job designing graphics for an actual site.

"Pro means professional... do you actually make real money from designing? No? Then your not a "pro".

Lol, people do infact make money off of sigs. although it is not a REAL source of income. but the fact remains you can be Professional at somthing and not get paid for it and there are many examples of that. So i disagree with the people who say you are not pro unless you have a job designing. Alot of people i see who are pro on nsl arnt pro to me though. there are very few people i have seen on the internet who are professional at sig making for my standards of what professional is. considering there is no real distintion of pro or any rank for that matter. making sigs is a hobby and people should enjoy it and not take things so seriously.(note im just using that quote as an example so dont flame me)
