Can You Call Yourself A Pro?

I have a question and a own answer here .


When can you call yourself pro or be a pro?


I think you cant ever call yourself pro. Becuase you can always improve your works...
You can never be a pro at something, or can you?
I think everyones is newbies and can improve alot all the time, you cant be 100% good at graphics, and you can be pro at it ( thats my opinion )
And i think there is some other ppl that thnks as i do, there is no pros at graphics, Or, somebody is really good but not pro...

and i'm not saying this becuase i'm really new and i'm jeluase at some guys/girls on this site, i just wanted to say my opinion about pros and not pros...

can we have a can nice and clean Discussion about this? i hope soo.

Pro means professional... do you actually make real money from designing? No? Then your not a "pro".

 

You can, but most who say they are pro most likely aren't as i have seen on this Forum.

 

People on these forums who are "pro" would be crushed in other communities like fathom, brokeneden, T3, Cloud 9 etc...

You shouldn't be calling yourself a Pro anyway. That's called being big-headed. People should recognize you as one, if they don't then you aint.

 

Well said, also if people say there selling Pro sigs, might just think there good that's all, maybe some don't know what stage there at.

basically nobody is classified "pro", through the eyes of many pro means alotta things

 

Well, i think that if you think that you are making good sigs atm you can call yourself a 'pro' or whatever but i really dont see the point of that. One year later you will looks at it "OMG i did that? LOL!". So you can call yourself a Pro but you should try to best your last work anyways, altough i see some pepole i really think that make awsome works and deserve to be called 'Pros'. If you call yourself one you probably arent. I dont really see the point of pepole making sigs just to call themselfs Pros i do sigs for myself not for being rated Pro Semi-Pro or whatever, altough i care of what pepole think sometimes.

 

I will say this though, there pros that go here, like stott, /\treyu, all the members of UV, .neon and a few others.

 

In other words, you get paid for what you do.
