c4d renders are ther to be used as renders thats fine but the best renders are own made using normal renders

c4d renders look gd so its easy to make them look good in sigs

normal renders might not look so good so it takes raw talent to make it look good

please trance can u read my pm and go on msn :)

I'm only venting my anger and disgust that people (not going to name names) on these forums who are rated ''Pro'', in their tags and tuts ; all they use is C4D and nothing original or anything outside the box. It's not only me who thinks this, read some responses.

The point is, if someone can make people more aware about this, or get people to discuss it more often then maybe people will start saying they used C4D or ''This tut contains C4D'', if more people start realising or considering a shared opinion against C4D then the Graphic ability of the people of GR my vary away from C4D.

I don't use C4D, I guess it's alright to use one or somthing to make your sig look a little better, as long as most of the stuff is done by you.

But today I was looking at a tutorial and the steps were like this:

    1. Put in your render

    2. Put this C4D in

    3. Duplicate C4D layer

    4. Duplicate again

    5. Duplicate three more times

    6. Add text and your done

Of course it wasn't exactly like that but it was very similar, If you did that I don't know how you could call it your own work. My opinion anyway.

Who makes the renders we use in our sigs? Game designers.

Who makes the model/movie stocks we use everyday? Photographers.

So to follow what your saying, pro is a sig entierly made by the designer, no stocks, and no renders.

I agree with you however you can't just ignore that fact that SOMEONE took the stock photos of the model or made the wallpaper for your favorite game.

The problem is the trends are too much at the moment. You used to see six or seven sigs of the same style or with the same render/bg/whatever. Now it's full of them.

I'ts not wrong to make something that is close to someone else's style but trendwhoring is just wrong.

That's what GR is these days. You make something that fits with the trend : "LOVELY , AWESOME"! You try to make something innovative and refreshing : Whats this? "Never saw it , sucks".

(And yes i bumped a rather old topic , flame away.. i can't bother less)

I agree that people who use a lot of C4D's are great artists but there are also a lot of people who use brushes which aren't made by them, so is that ripping the artist in your opinion? I agree with you though.

who cares if people use c4d. if you can use c4d then it can be pro. it doesnt matter what techniques, resources a person uses, but if they use them well then it can be professional. lots of people just stick in random c4ds on lighten. but some people actually know what theyre doing and think about it so it looks nice but its still c4d. c4d does NOT equal noob.

i belive that a sig can only be labeled as proffesional if the creator is actually a proffessional
