Well, I need some outside opinions. I am interested in buying a better camera (or getting one with parental help :D) and I want to know which type would be the best? I am mostly looking for something that will give me good quality so I dont have to touch it up with Photoshop. One that is able to take wider scenes would also be nice. I know Canon is probably the most popular brand, right? Anyways, just drop on by and say maybe what kind of camera you have or what kind you suggest, and a price tag would be great.
    Thanks! ^_^

I recommed going with Cannon Powershots. They're pretty small and have the easiest controls. I have one and it's great. I just wish I had the money to buy the new one that's out.

Cannon powershots have the best processors and are amazing for taking close up photos.

The Canon Digital Rebel XT is a really nice camera, and it dropped in price a bit since the XTI(I think?) recently came out. It's the one I'm hoping to get for Christmas.

This is the Canon Powershot I want. It's the SD630.

Hopefully I can get one by March for my long trip. Unless they come out with a new one. It has a huge LCD screen than in previous models. I guess they decided that people use the LCD screen with digital cameras for the most part anyways, so they just out rid of the old fashioned shooting lens and used the extra space for a bigger LCD. I used to work at Target and sold some of these. Or well, I talked about it a lot hahaha. Anyways, I highly recommend this one. It's great. Still has the basic controls of past Cannon Powershot SD cameras. Or if this one is kind of expensive, then for an older model like mine. They're all pretty good.

Yeah I saw that one when I was browsing around. It has, like what, 7.1 MP? I like that, cause I'm looking for something with good quality, but my dad also found one that has 7.1 but is only around $150. Not sure about anything yet though :P

oh yeah, does anyone know if powershots are also good for faraway shots - I'm going to be taking more nature scenes than anything else

It has pretty good lighting power with it's flash. No need to worry about that.
