I have a question, what if you just do photography and you don't do photomanips? Can I still apply?

Yes. Slight and I both submitted 6 of our best photographs in place of the 3 manips. So you can submit an application that way.

can i just say something....i dont think manips is the greatest word...its kinda a misnomer...there are some manips like with digital art and actually brushing and stuff...or there is the 'manip' of just adding contrast, adjusting color, etc...i like to call the latter 'post-processing' as do many other photographers... but yeah so if you dont do that, i suggest you do cause you can get much better photos just by adjusting their colors and contrast, etc. but yeah..i just dont like referring to it as manipulating..but whatever

there are so many tutorials on the internet about photo editing/post processing..and i can help you guys get the programs you need..but i really do recommend it..its the step between novice and amateur i guess..and im willing to help out with stuff if needed

i think those pictures are a very broad spectrum representing your skill as a photographer

http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/5805/wi...tation67ns1.jpg <i dont like this at all...this one sucks compared to your other ones no offense..it is very low quality (i.e. cell phone pic)

    http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/6572/be...tation67cl5.jpg < I like this much more

and i like 1 and 3 of your best pics but 2 only a little bit......so i guess your flower/nature pics could use work, but you other photos are good....

so I think its a yes
if my vote matters at all

well there photoshop cs/2/3 w.e, photoshop elements, photoshop lightroom, aperture for macs and then some more simple free ones like photoshop express online, picasa, gimp

you can get a 30 day free trial of photoshop cs3..i recommend you do that

as for tutorials....well they are much easier to find for photoshop, but most of the free programs have the basic tools that photoshop has, and most of the basics are just common sense/the what looks good method (for contrast/brightness/color/sharpening, etc.)
