Alright since i have been into photography lately i've been getting annoyed by my camera. Alright i've gotta admit its not bad with 5 megapixel. but its all automatic. i can't change much settings. So i've been looking for a new camera, and i've seen some nice offers. i'm left with 2 products and one choice. The Kodak P880 http://www.redcoon.nl/index.php/cmd/shop/a...asyShare_P_880/ The Canon PowerShot A640 http://www.redcoon.nl/index.php/cmd/shop/a...Powershot_A640/ I want a good quality wich the Kodak can easily provide with 8 megapixes versus the 10 megapixels of the Canon because of the RAW image format. The lens is also a lot better, and it has more options that i can use. But.. its twice the size of the Canon, and i want to take my camera anywhere, just to not miss a good shot, that could provide some problems. The display of the canon is a lot better, and it can rotate, wich is handy, but not really neccesary. It would probably break of to soon anyway. So the LCD screen is not that big of a point. Then there is the price. Canon € 305 Kodak € 285 Yes i know, its only € 20, but i can almost pay a 1 GB SD disk from that amount ( wich i really need, or else i have to stick with 2 RAW photo's ) So i really cant pick. 8 versus 10 megapixel Heavy versus light good lens versus medium lens € 285 versus € 305 Anyone has some experience with either of these camera's ? Any oppinions and suggestions are welcome.
well.... you cant really tell too much of a difference between 8 and 10 megapixels, and id go for the good lense, but i cant really help you much because the page is in dutch my dad has the first one though, and its really really nice
oh ya, well most statistics are universal. but il find a page in english thanks for the comment and my oppinion is the same 8 or 10, doesnt matter that much i think.
dude, i would go with the canon all the way. my family is full of photographers(my dad being the -----, he photographs events in LA), and the canon is absolutely incredible from my experiance.
Get a Canon PowerShot SD500+ They're the best. ( I work at best buy ) Kodak has less features, and lower printing quality.
I'd go with the popular opinion and choose the Canon, from my experience they Canon's are reliable and seem to do the job fine for me, But then again I'm not into photography that much, So I don't know much.
Canon ftw, my dad has a Canon 4mp powershot, and it works like a 6 mp. The clarity is amazing, and the prints are teh secks.
