Ok well I am moving in a few days...currently living with my Aunt. So anyways, I need to get internet when I move...I gotta have it haha. Anyways...what is better Cable or DSL? Like and how do you tell which would be better here?
Cable is the fastest connection you can get for the cheapest price. I went from AOL, to DSL, then to Cable. Cable is by FAR the fastest connection I have had so far.
yea cable by far, i use to pay 25 bucks for dsl, now its 29 bucks for cable dsl was about 1mbps and cable 10mbps for me
man u should get dial up =] go old school... nah cable is by far the bets u can get unless u can afford t1 or t3
cable is fairly fast but shared with everyone in your neighborhood(usually a non-issue) it's prefered by mass downloaders ADSL is all around slower than cable. it's preferred by people who want good bang/$. HDSl has faster uploads than cable but slower down downloads than ADSL. it's the preference of "gamers" i personally could not tell between the diference between my dad's 800k aDSL connection and my mother's 8000k cable connection, though I don't download much(most demanding thing I do is gaming) though at the time I was only playing CS1.6 and CScz.
lol cable, cable will always be fast, like on weekends with dsl i heard that it goes slow because everyone in your area that has dsl is conencted. i would suggest cable but it cost alot more
why not FIOS? Most of the time cable will offer a faster package than a DSL line. It all depends where you live and whats available
DSL is connected at the nearest local hub. usually is a non issue though it can be. cable is connected at the neighborhood level AND at the region level.
