    Hello,
I have a computer with 512mb RAM and lately I wanted to start with the design of c4d renders. :>
So, I made 2 renders in Cinema 4D, applied a nice material on it, and the started the rendering via
    render to picture view,
    1600*1200 pixels
    70dpi
    best quality

I even set it down to
1024*768 and middle quality but still it keeps giving me the samer error
    "too low memory".

How can I bypass that problem?

    turn antialiasing to best
    and 1x1 to 4x4
or if that doesnt look good
    2x2 to 4x4
and i wouldnt do global illumination unless your doing a background
    just use multiple lights

if none of the above works
    try turning off volume caustics
    dont really need it anyways

    You'll be needing a 64bit OS then...

A 32bit OS can address up to 4gig of RAM. It's a commonly shared myth that you need a 64bit OS to use all 4gigs. Xlink has a good way of explaining it, but I can't be bothered trying.
