Hello, I have a computer with 512mb RAM and lately I wanted to start with the design of c4d renders. :> So, I made 2 renders in Cinema 4D, applied a nice material on it, and the started the rendering via render to picture view, 1600*1200 pixels 70dpi best quality I even set it down to 1024*768 and middle quality but still it keeps giving me the samer error "too low memory". How can I bypass that problem?
Ok, here comes the full list: Output Resolution: 1024*768 Film Format: 1024*768 Pixel: 1:1 Save Format: TAGRA Depth: 8Bit/Channel DPI: 72 [x]Alpha Channel [x]24 Bit Dithering Antialiasing Antialiasing: Geometry Filter: Still Image Softness: 50% Threshold: 30% Min/Max Level: 4x4 to 8x8 Global Illumination [x] Global Illumination -> Standard Strenght: 60% Accuracy: 75% Prepass Size: 1/1 Diffuse Depth: 4 Stochastic Samples: 45 Min Resolution: 30 Max Resolution: 100 Caustics [x] Volume Caustics Strength: 100% Step Size: 2.22m Sample Radius: 11m Samples: 13 Options [x] Textures [x] Cancel if Texture Error [x] Blurry Effects [x] Volumetric Lighting Ray Depth: 20 Reflection Depth: 10 Shadow Depth: 20 Threshold: 10% Level of Detail: 125% Global Brightness: 100% Render Gamma: 2.2 Motion Scale: 125
turn antialiasing to best and 1x1 to 4x4 or if that doesnt look good 2x2 to 4x4 and i wouldnt do global illumination unless your doing a background just use multiple lights if none of the above works try turning off volume caustics dont really need it anyways
A 32bit OS can address up to 4gig of RAM. It's a commonly shared myth that you need a 64bit OS to use all 4gigs. Xlink has a good way of explaining it, but I can't be bothered trying.
