For your first space theme thats brilliant.

There are things that can be improved of course.
For example, the purple mist and that white thing I don't know whats it called lol

I personally don't like the "I" in that font.

The I does seem really close, I'm gonna change that up actually.

As for the mist, I think I could downplay it a bit, but what's the white thing you're talking about?

 

The smoke coming from the planet. Maybe a bit too much blur in my opinion.

The main priority is the purple mist though. That could be improved alot in-terms of realism.

Updated the asteroid trail/explosion/smoke thing. Not really sure what to do about the mist.

 

Very nice. I love it. Great job for a first space scene.

One thing to comment though, those stars in the upper right corner are too noticeable and exuberant. I think you should dim them down a bit.

Its looking much better!

Infact I reckon everything is now perfect except the purple mist.

I honestly have no idea what I could do for that, I've been playing around trying to get another effect or look from it, but nothing is coming out the way I want it to.

Oh well I'll persevere, and fix it within a day or so.

I finally got something that I'm happy with in terms of the mist. It's pretty much completely gone, and it's basically just the radial graient that was left behind now. It looks weird without it.

 

I was going to do exactly what you just did lol

Looks muchhhh better now.
