I only just got into the whole thing of the marketplace. It seems with every sale that the seller reserves the right not to sell but your bid is binding.

So for example I bid on an auction is it ok for me to state that my bid for that item lasts for a a set amount of days ?

Because you can be left for days waiting for an auction to end, only for the person to say no sale or maybe during the time frame you see a better item but cannot bid because if you win the other item you won't have enough creds. So is it ok to set a time limit on your own bid, something like 3 days so after that time your offer has been retracted.

You bring up a very good point and this has been bothering me for quite a while now. When I bid in the Auction Room, the seller keeps bumping the topic and I'm obliged to wait.

Possibly a rule that states after a certain while, the person bidding has a right to drop out because I could be waiting weeks for an auction to end and my credits will just be sitting there.

Even what Audacious brought is not such a bad idea to state that a bid only lasts x amount of days.

    Snipe. ;)

Yeah, I fully understand people want to get the most amount of creds for the items they sell and most of the time they have some sort of reserve in mind when selling the item.

However just seems a little unfair that our bids are binding with no form of time limit on the auction.
