not quite.1 acts as parity, not mirroring, and the behavior of the other two drives isn't quite striping. also raid 5 needs a raid controller for decent performance. as for nehalem... http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/intel...doc.aspx?i=3326 it looks good so far even with premature motherboards with performance issues
