No, he clearly does not. He just wanted the opportunity to jump in and start showing off he's knows 10.5% more than your average consumer... and epically failed in the process.
Yeah, Asus laptops are fine. I've had 3 in the past 6 years, and all are still in use. Solid build on a lot of them too. That's always a main concern of mine when buying a laptop. They all use the same parts, but most of the HP/Compaq/Toshiba/etc use flimsy plastic hinges and crappy plastic bezels and will shatter at the slightest drop. Thats why I love my Thinkpad. Aluminium frame, stainless steel hinges, weighs a little, but is much smaller than most laptops (thin laptops are a blessing). However, most use nVidia Quadro cards, which have a minor performance drop in games, compared to their GeForce cousins.
For a laptop, in my opinion, I suggest a dell xps, Im about to order one for myself, since my job is paying for it anyway ( at least half of it ) Asus is also great when it comes to general laptop use. I wont lie, Im not sure about their gaming laptops if they have any premade.. So a 17 inch widescreen is the way to go
