Ok, heres the thing i want a new laptop. Should be able to run the latest games.
    Budget is around 1400-1600euro.

Also it NEEDS to support 5.1 support sound.

    Let the picking begin!

Opposite. Tons more expensive, minimal performance gains. Remember, Alienware don't manufacturer their own parts, meaning both the XPS range and the Alienware range draw performance from the same pool.

What configuration was that? According to everything I've checked, Alienware only has a lead when you're talking about the top of the spectrum stuff.

Look up prices amd parts from the laptops and compare them... When I ordered an alienware I did research comparing both Alienware and XPS for about 2 weeks and I decided to go with Alienware. Im not biast, I just buy what the cheapest and best is in my opinion and a bit of research lead me to the Alienware... not to mention I get a $1000 of on a lot of XPS but that was after I bought the alienware :(

Man US prices are fcuked. Here in NZ Alienware are almost twice as much as their Dell XPS alternatives. then again, NZ pricing tiers are ---- to start with. I can't wait for the day where laptop components become standardised enough that custom laptop building is possible...

checked some alienware laptops and yes its true they do come more expensive as far as i see

altough i really do like the alienware look, and they also have an option for creative xfi extreme audio. Do the alienware computer have better screens or is that just me?

    you know nothing of computers....wow

go to newegg and pick out parts and put them together in like hour or so. Cyberpowerpc.com is decent i guess. Dell is like if your mentally challenged.
