SS - You need to seriously think about whut your doing next time.

It is stated that renders from CGTALK and DA AREN'T ALLOWED to be use. This is from Boyis.com

SO IT CAN BE ALLOWED. Permission isn't needed (as far as my knowledge of this goes).

So the thread will be back up.

Every image is copyrighted (well all renders/wallpapers) so that would mean they'd have to get permission from every designer, which isn't gonna happen in this world.

In other words, you only need permission from DA and CGTalk (that is what the GR Rules say).

Ok, first of all: Nice renders, very good job guys!

BlzrD:

Difficulty: Pretty hard, alot of rags hanging around. 8/10
Uniqueness: I've seen it once before I guess, 9/10
Usability: Pretty usefull, but you cant get the robot and terminator's head on 1 signature. so 7/10
How well it has been cut: Very smooth, some outline I see (have mozilla firefox) but when I put a white background behind it, it's perfectly smooth. So 9/10
Size: Size is fine.

Extra note: Not the best render I've seen from you, but can't conclude your other works in my conclusion

Pro Evo Graphics:

Difficulty: Looks pretty hard, but if you look at the original, it has a white background and it's pretty easy to see where the hair goes. so 7/10
Uniqueness: I've seen it before, including LA-289 (srry if I typed his name wrong ) 7/10
Usability: High usability factor. 9/10
How well it has been cut: On first sight it's very good, but if I take a closer look, the hair isn't really as smooth as the original. 7.5/10
Size: Size is fine.


Conclusion:
I must say this is a very hard decision. Pro Evo Graphics' render apealed to me more at the beginning, and I really thought he would get my vote, but after I looked closer on different backgrounds I realized Blzrd's cut was better and harder (in my eyes). So in this case a better, harder cut wins it from a more useable render.

MY VOTE GOES TO: BLZRD But great job to the both of you!

Uniquness - Well im sure it has been done before but i havent seen it around that much
Usability - I think it is kinda useable like you can use the head but i really like what he is holding so i would like to use that but with the head it isnt possible
Cut- Really well cut, cant really see much wrong with it. looks really good
medium. Nice size, not too big not too small

Pro Evo
Difficulty- Same as the other
Uniquness - seen it done quite a few times before
Usability - Very high useabilty
Cut - Little choppy in some places, there are some choppy parts on the hair and i think maybe you could have done a but better
Size - i like the width of this render.

Pro evos render is more useable but i think Blzrds is cut better.

Uniquness : i Have seen that render many times
Usability : Great for Tech and Grunge sigs
How Well The Image Has Been Cut : in the hair could be better but is ok

Difficulty : that freaky hair is hard 8.5/10
Uniquness : i have seen it before and with better cut
Usability : High usability very good for walls and sigs
How Well The Image Has Been Cut : choppy around the cloak and in some parts of the hair

Uniquness - Yes, been done before but again, a very nice cut
Usability - Very usable to be honest, fits well with grunge tech and abstract
From the looks, cut was done very very nicely. Not choppy and very sleek
Size - Size is okay

PEG

Difficulty: 7.5/10
Uniquness - I think I've seen it on someone's sig but this is hard to render so it would be pretty unique
Usability - Once again, very usable for abstract with all the differnt colors
Very Well Done on the Cut I have to say and OMG OMG I love the mist effect, lol
Size - Okay too I guess

Tough Choice but the mist on PEG's Render made the decision

1st render:

difficulty: not necessarily difficult at all, the actualy picture stands out enough in the background.

uniquness: i have seen it many times before

usability: not that usable, mainly usuable only from the terminators torso and up.

how well it has been cut: could be a lot better. i woud have liked to see all of the lightning shock thinks renders, rather than only the ones on the actual render

size: descent size


2nd render:

difficulty: again, very easy, the whole entire background is white....

uniquness: its unique, i havent seen it before

usability: very limited use

how well it has been cut: ok, the edges are very rough and choppy, it looks like it may have just been magic erased or magic wanded...

size: large, nice actual image quality

i choose blzrd as the better render though

Thoughts : Nice cut i love this terminator. Nice attention to detail ; all the peices of his shirt and stuff. it is a sort of hard render because of all the detail..but easy because the render easily stands out. Seen it done before so its not the most original thing. Nice size and useability

Thoughts : When i first saw this i was like wow a lot of hair to render this is awesome. i like the awesome cutting of the hair but then after i looked at the original i can say the difficulty wasnt as hard as i thought. but it is really useable and is a nice size. not to mention it is a nice useability

On the bottom left i think you missed a spot.

BlzRD GMV because his render was harder and although they both had a a nice useability the terinator one is way more useable

7/10 It is indeed a very difficult cut, however the quality of the original isn't great which really takes from the overall quality of the render.

Uniqueness - How unique the render is (has it been done before)
8/10 I can say that I've never actually ever seen this render before. Good Job!

Usability - IS A MAJOR FACTOR!!
Not very use-able at all. There's no way one can fit Terminator and the head in a good quality signature without making the signature huge. But with the actual image quality -- size doesn't make this a better cut. 7/10

Good cut as good as the original image is. 6/10

Difficulty:
Hair is very difficult to cut. The Extract technique wouldn't work nor would pen tool .. but the polygon lasso tool is what I see which is a hard technique to master in it's own right. 8/10

Uniquness - How unique the render is (has it been done before)
I've seen Jkesterlian use this in his signature so not completely new to the scene. 6/10

Usability - IS A MAJOR FACTOR!!
VERY Usesable because of the pose and the amount of detail in the cut. Great job 8/10

How Well The Image Has Been Cut
Just amazing -- There are a few errors with the hair -- seems to be a bit choppy on the thinner pieces of hair. 7/10

Good Sized cut -- Can be adjusted to fit many different applications. 8/10
