It's getting to the point where you can't render anything that hasn't been done before, so it really doesn't matter what has and hasn't been done before....

Your first sentence is actually not true, as long as new things come out, there will always be new things to render. And since there are 1000's of games out there, and lets say 5 screen shots/fan art per game I would say we aren't even CLOSE to having done every render ever lol

Let me rephrase that....


Most of the images people render are obviously something they like and/or just want to render out, so they do it and post it, what I was sort of, in a 'round about way, getting at, was that people always say "i've seen it before", or "it's been done", or something along those lines.

So, what I meant was that obviously a ton of the *good* images have already been rendered somewhere at some point in time, therefore; most images will be rendered many times.
