I watched it on adult swim once and was like wtf. Talking cats and soul reapers?! IMO not really that interesting of a show.

The cat was a shinigami she has a zanpuktoh but doesn't use it because she prefers hand to hand combat and she was the captain of the war division that her protege took over but your technically right she isn't a shinigami
