man in cali we dont have anything like that except like after christmas is when all the sales go on but the go one for like a week no just a day that would be crazy lol -AlmightyWhity-
nice laptop... i wish i had one!... but nice find for only 200 + tax but im getting a comp in my room so good
Dell laptops are some of the best around. Idk about their desktops since I prefer to build my own, but this laptop is pretty loaded. Centrino 2.13GHz 1GB RAM 80GB HDD DVD-RW Wireless mouse included Good enough. I won't be gaming too much on it anyway...that's for the PC B)
what are the specs on that laptop? I personally am not a fan of net burst processors, but for 250 you really can't go wrong. how much ram, which processor(if a P4 state the L2 cache and clock speed) GFX, etc... EDIT: nvm that' really good. FYI its a Pentium 3[wait did I say PIII I meant pentium M oops] not a centrino. really for 250 though that is increadible, I am jealous. Also, dells aren't good they are crap with great marketing and good product support for a product likely to fail. Laps may be a bit better than their desks though.
that dell was good deal on Black Friday. I managed to get some things of my own...just some games and anime dvd's...i'll just say i got a lot and only paid a little. What i got: Games:Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Ghost in the Shell: SAC. DVDs: Gundam Seed Movie 3, FullMetal Alchemist 1-6, Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum Complete Set, and Neon Genesis Evangelion Moive Set. The good is that i got this all at one local store...
I hate AMD fanboys. I have an Opteron 170, but I'm at least smart enough to realize Intel has a winner with the Dothan line. The Pentium M line is pound for pound better than any AMD processor on the market. @zelink: It's not a P3, it's a Pentium M. Centrino, Dothan, Pentium M. Whatever you'd like to call it. They're all basically the same. "Centrino" is basically the whole kit: processor, WiFi, and motherboard. Pentium M is the line of processors, and Dothan is the core's name. Like my Opty's core is Denmark. Your Athlon 64 is probably a Venice or San Diego core. Do not question my knowledge of computers, Playstation. It will be the last mistake you ever make.
I liked PIIIs... they killed the K7s for themost part even though they were for the most part the same as PIIs. Pentium Ms though are for the most part identical to PIIIs with some improved floating point instructions and a few tweeks taken from the P4s... Like you, I think Donthan will be a hell of a lot better than the P4s(which I consider an abomination upon Intel's formely good name) I hope Intel doesn't screw this over though, their gimmick with this is supposedly performance/watt... I'm a performance/$ guy. EDIT: FYI The Pentium isn't better than the Athlons YET. It doesn't have as much development into it so far. Most of Intels resources went into the P4, the PM was just on back burner until they realized how hoplessly innefficient P4s are. I will fnd this ironic though... the whole issue of clockspeed vs. core architecture will be flipped upside down. Athlon's will have somewhat higher clock speeds and slightly reduced core architecture(relatively) while the PMs will be the otherway.
Actually, it is. The P-M's are better than Athlon 64's and Turions in almost every application. The Turion is better in battery life, but that's about it. Don't worry, AMD will take the lead again in 06 with M2. @z4kk - Look a few posts up. I gave a definition.
