    how do u get colour on Your text??

    choose a color on the 2 lil boxes on the left handside
    click text and write something

    or

    write something Layer/LayerStyle/Colour Overlay

    well thats how i do it :|

    yup, what he said ^

    in Photoshop
    either select the color in the left then type
    to change the color afterwards 2click in the color in the type palette

    OR
    set the Fill of the Type layer to 0%
    and determine the color by using the color overlay style, this is more interesting coz you can save the complete style as a preset style
    and this way the color of the font doesnt interfere with the style next time you select that style.

    example
    you used red to type your text and have set a redblack gradient overlay in darken mode and a darkred outerstroke in normal mode.
    imagine you saved that style

    now next time you type something in blue and apply the saved ^ style.
    it will turn out purple with a black gradient and darkred stroke.

    so set the fill to 0% and use the color overlay to determine the color
