im pretty sure ive seen 3 or 4 bioshock threads a little further down from this one.. i dont own it since my gfx doesnt support it..
Dude, I have this game and I refuse to play it. The graphics are, should I say, decent? But the theme of the game and everything, I hate it. I BET that it turns a few kids into killers, no ------ing joke. I don't like it at all. I thought it would be kick ass, but I just didn't read enough. Stick to COD4 and Crysis for SURE. >.> This game even freaks me the hell out.
Bioshock is FAR better then Crysis... Graphics are superb, amazing deep storyline (You'll struggle to find better) and it's really original compared to most other games... And the moral choices throughout are great. I'm not that far really, but Halo 3 came and stole me.
Not really I hated this game. Found it way to easy and the so called amazing story was predictable. I stopped playing after 3 hours nothing really jumped out at me why this game gets all the hype it does.
Played through it once and got bored, same stuff over and over again, tonics are useless, some plasmids are useless, i never used the bow or pistol....seriously? Overrated. GH3 and Halo 3 ftw
That's fine. That is what you need to do, rent it. Don't buy this one first time out because it is SOOO variant on the like and hate. There is a VERY thin line on liking or hating this game. If you want to buy it later, I say when it falls to 9.99$ in like five years for your kid or something. ROFL. . . wait, I wouldn't want MY kid playing it. Maybe not. Seriously though, not for little kids and erm. . . just make sure you like it before you buy it.
It looks alright, I've heard different opinions. Might look at some reviews online before I buy it. I did make a sig on it though. =P
according to ign There is art here, despite what many would say isn't possible with games, from Roger Ebert to game designers like Hideo Kojima. But it's in BioShock--it's in the gorgeously realized, watery halls of Rapture. It's in a Little Sister's expression of thanks when you choose to save her, or the utter silence if you harvest instead. It's in the way the characters develop, in the testimonials of the recording boxes you pick up along the way. It's in the way the narrative is structured, and the way it blends so seamlessly with the action. Irrational had a clear vision with this game, something pulled off with remarkable precision in every department. They didn't just deliver something that's fun to play, a criterion so often cited as the benchmark of what makes a game worthwhile. BioShock stands as a monolithic example of the convergence of entertaining gameplay and an irresistibly sinister, engrossing storyline that encompasses a host of multifaceted characters. This is an essential gaming experience Score 9.7
you could just play the demo... that said the demo kind of freaked me out, not exactly how I'd like to spend my time.
