Bill Gates vs. GMC For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on. At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated, "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon." In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release stating: If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics (and I just love this part): 1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day. 2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car. 3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this. 4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine. 5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads. 6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation" warning light. 7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying. 8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna. 9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car. 10. You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the engine off.
I have seen it before, it is quite old... if GM implemented technology similar to windows they would also have cars built on broken frames any New technology implemented would really be about 25 years old.
1.leave microsoft alone 2.i replaced my start menu button with 1 that says Capoz 3.none of those things up there haev ever happend to me man o.0 4.XP OWNZ YE!! 5.HES RICH BIOTCH!! ever thought of that?
lol in all my time at home my xp crashed like once and i got the blue screen but at school for all my time everytime i use the #pad the dam thing crashes >:-( yaa Really reliable macs ---- those bitches that believe that ----as
Totaly agreed! My system never crushed twice a day? but here is a funny one to add on it, If GMC build cars using MS tech ,cars would be infected by spyware or virus because not using Firefox rims . now that one i truly belive ^_^
lmfao, so very true. Notice he doesn't comment on linux computers. ^_^ Gotta love GM for putting mr too rich in his place. lol Then again, if people knew how to operate their computers correctly they wouldn't have those problems. Same goes for driving and accidents though... if people knew how to drive b4 they were given a licensce to do so, there would be a lot less accidents. Gates was right about the progress of technology compared to the automotive industry though... GM was just pissed that Gates was a shrewd business man, and made loads more profit than GM. Look back 10 yrs at cars vs computer. Then look at now, most computers now a days really on computers in one way or another. Ahhhh.... jammit. I wish I could buy a car for $25.
my computer hasnt crashed for a super long time.. the only time it did was when i opened like 30 programs in like 5 minutes... lol
well idk about your computers, but mine doesnt do any of that.. well i mean the basic things, but since we got this new dell a couple years ago, we've never had any problems with it... restarting and all that...
