So, it was like 4:30 in the morning, and I just got back from a reformat. Windows said it needed t restart to complete an update. Well..I was going to restart it, but it showedan update if I shut it down. I shut it down, and I went to bed. When I got back on, it started up, and then when it was booting it showed the DOS screen showing all the info, and then a couple seconds later it started making weird noises and went black........
You should still be able to boot the disk as soon as it turn on, open the drive, put XP disc in, and turn it back on if it shuts down.
When it boots, it freezes up...I have a backup disc, it's not windows xp. its my custom computer companys disc :/ but when I boot with it, it has tihs progress bar and it doesnt even go all the way. It stops..and my computer is making popping noises like the belt is melting or something >_>
It doesnt beep it sounds like its going to blow up.. I think the reason its doing this is I installed Windows Defender and Nod32 :| I know not to install 2 anti virus programs though..
Nahh, that wouldn't do it, open the computer to make sure it hasn't overheated and that all the hardware is intact
Ah figured it out, but C:\boot.ini was messedx up. It formatted the whole system..I am on Linux now =)
Well I had a dual boot, my windows was messed up. So I booted linux and now it's all normal. Reinstalled Windows.
