I've had BF 2142 for a while now, but I've never had the time, or enough graphics power, to play it. Although since I've got an X1950 --- now I thought I'd have a go. I've been playing, or should I say trying to play, for about a week now and the same problem always happens. I'll have just joined a server and I'll be running about in game, then all of a sudden it'll crash to the desktop. No error message or anything, just crashes to desktop.
    My Specs are:
    3800 X2
    X1950 ---
    Asrock Dual-Sata2
    1GB Elixir RAM

It's not the most powerful PC but it should do BF 2142 on high settings. I've tried it on the lowest settings possible and it still crashes. Also, I've got the latest patch (1.10). Can anyone help me?

well all your requirements are alright so i guess why not be able to play it?

mabe its the amount of ram or space? usually you have to get the map and all. make sure you have every little requirement in order to play the game. if not contact me at

well i have a pc with 500ram, 128 video, and 2.8 [i think] procesor speed. (thoose 3 are all that usually affect gameplay)
and it ran not so good. it would close frmo now to then[with repeating sound] btw if the sound is repeating when it closes it means it is a problem with the sound card

    but i also have a laptobb with 1gbram, 256 video, and 1.66 duo processor [1.66 x 2 = 3.22] and it runs perfectly..

hope that helps a but ;D

his req that he shows there are fine for the game, but as i said before.. it didnt run too good on my pc couse of the sound card

[check if it has repeating sound when it crashes]

that means its the sound card
try putting the audio settings down, or playing with all the volumes down [from the game settings]

    hope this helps

No, the music doesn't loop when it crashes.
