Best Rpq Game Out Now?

Ok, I'm looking for a good RPQ game to pick up and play.
It can be out now, or out in a few months or so.

I'm only looking for a game that DOES NOT charge a monthly fee in order to play, I.E. - WoW , Everquest.
Not a free game either.
Must have the game at Bestbuy!

Games such as Diablo2 [ Already played, loved it, moved on ]

Thanks

Guild Wars would be the only game that comes to mind.

If your talking PS2/GC/XBOX then the following are my favorites:

PSX:
Final Fantasy VII (7)

PS2:
Final Fantasy X (10)
Star Ocean: 'Til the End of Time

Some people consider RE4 and RE2 (Resident Evil 2 and 4) to be an RPG styled survival horror, so I guess that may qualify too.

FF7. End of story. I love that game like my own brother. Also look for Parasite Eve (The first one)

RAGNAROK!!

Guild wars

everybody says its the new final fantasy out for the 360(or the demo)
idk
they say its the concole version of wow...
wow was cool but i didnt want to pay for it so if thats true when i get my 360 i want to get it....
-King-

Star Ocean Till The End of Time, or Dragon Quest VIII

Ya, Star Ocean is a great game. And i don't know how many of you have played it, but the entire Suikoden series is amazing in my opinionion, i advise you all check it out. (1/2 on the PSX, 3/4/tactics on the PS2)

And ofcourse theres FF7....but EVERYONE knows that game rocks.

FF7 end of, it has to be the ultimate, its not a geeky RPG, its a good original game, which pushed the final fantasy series back out there

If you are looking for a pc game Id have to go with guild wars. I enjoyed it more that Wow... of course not having a monthly fee doesn't hurt.

no no no ... the best rpg not mmorpgs out now are
[pc]balldersgate 1 & 2
[Pc]fallout 1/ 2/ tactics
[Pc]warcraft 3 + frozen thrones
[pc]neverwinternights 1 / 2
[pc]Gothic 1 Gothic 2 soon to be gothic 3 wich is out this year.
[pc]elderscrolls morrowind + oblivion [oblivion is released in 1 month]
i can go on and on btw the only good Final fantasy game is part 7

mmorpgs id say the best is guildwars and WOW

If you have lots of Time and money to pay the FF11 can be fun But you need alot of time and patience. And i can't wait for Oblivion , looks amazing!

Eh, Warcraft 3 + Frozen Throne are RTS, and you can't say Oblivion is "one of the best" if it isn't out yet, heh...

For PC, I'd have to go with Guild Wars, for consoles, beats me, the only RPG's I play on console are Fable and the KOTOR series

i'd have to say X-Men Legends 2, its amazing.

FF7 hands down the greatest RPG ever. Amazing story, character, universe, everything. I love that game, still have my save, over 200 hours of gameplay lol!
