Definitely. And this is sort of off-topic, but I detest the college application process with a passion.
I guess that one word does describe everything at a college. Independence. It is basically the life goal for us as growing teenagers to get the hell out of our parents house and actually go live off in a place where we make our own rules where we live, who we live with (sometimes) and what classes (if any) we take during the day and at what time. It is pretty sweet. But for me I have yet to experience that Independence. Maybe I won't in the future but so far it is pretty sweet to be in College. Your as in you (Steez) or your friends or ME? If ME then we shall get in the squared circle sometime and throw some boxing moves at each other and see who leaves the circle on e a stretcher or just plain old walking. Zain.
That was the most annoying part of High School. We had five security guard officers dudes type thingy who would go around on bikes and during every period if you were out or had a prep or something they would come next to you and scare the hell out of you asking questions about what you are doing and why you are doing it and stuff. They even took people to the Principle and got them suspended for cutting classes and ----. It was horrible...
I'm going to my local college next year for 2 years. It's the reason why my city is Canada's syphyllus and AIDS capital. That's not even a joke. The people who go there are like rabbits. With AIDS. ... I don't know whether to be excited for my next two years or not.
The only time I ever skipped, my mom knew about it in advance, and I told my teacher I wasn't going to be there, lol. No one seemed to care; I only skipped the classes I was passing. All of our security knew of me and knew I wasn't a trouble maker (not necessarily a good student, but I never caused any problems) so they just assumed I knew what I was doing and belonged wherever I was, lol. Never even walked around with a hall pass, and they never once stopped me, even during the crackdown and hallway wandering. Sock: That kinda sucks. I'd probably pay all this money just so I wouldn't have to go to a place light that. Hope it turns out fine.
College is just a binge party for the kids who've been locked in their parents house far too long. That's if you're staying on campus that is.
The college itself is decent in terms of classes and teachers... the students give it a bad name though. I'm going there for two years which will save me 16,000 Canadian Dollars. Then I can transfer to a real university. I will try to experience some of the night life that's offered, but hopefully none of the STD-brand. Trying to avoid that, even though half of all people (don't quote me, I'm not sure on this statistic) get an STD in their life. I want to save up my money now so I can do lots of travelling when I'm young, so if that means going to college with a bunch of sluts (oh darn, shoot, why me? mannn! /sarcasm) then so be it!
I LOL'd. And isn't that what college is all about? Showing up to classes whenever, getting wasted and hooking up with sluts?
