Could anyone tell me what are the current best GFX cards in the market both Nvidia and ATI, Iam planning to get one soon but Iam not up to date on that stuff.
Don't look at nVidia until the Geforce 8's come out. If you want to buy a great gfx card now, look at the x1900XTX, and the x1900XT. For more budget buys, the x850XT is good bang/$.
more ro less what john said. I'de advise again getting anything except for perhaps the x850XT because it would be a waste of cash since there are currently no DX10 compliant cards on the market. on another note, unless you can get a good deal, screw the x1900XTX the x1900XT OCs about the same.
Ok thanks for the advice, but what do you think about this one http://www.powercolor.com/global/main_prod...etail.asp?id=90 considring 'price' and performance.
x850XT for 100$ after rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814102688 a bit better of a performer than the x1600 pro. x1600 is comparable to to an x800GTO though slightly below
nvidia 9250gx. what the mother ---- is he talking about? hey mate, you're up to 45 posts, maybe a few more spam posts and you can get to 50.
the problem with ATI is they want you to actually split performances with your GFX cards.... the problem wit that is they cant multi function in crossfire mode like the nvidia SLI cards... they will only work for GFX or Physics.... not both.... i use the 7950 GX2 which i believe is the best single card to date.... but if your looking for a 2 monitor solution then go with 2 SLI or Crossfire cards....
hey dumbass, crossifre and SLI are more or less a waste for moderate resolution gaming, and furthermore benchmarks are showing that crossfire offers better scaleability than SLI in most scenarios. Also crossfire can be done with one card on physics one on GFX, two non GFX, or one on physics and two on GFX, furthermore, peopelmare finding that as a GPGPU the radeons (particularly the x1900s) are getting a significantly higher level of performance. and I'm not an ATI fanboy, every card I've owned thus far has been by nVidia, save for an old radeon 9250 which i gave to a friend. also, crossfire and SLI only work on one single screen. you can't use two or more screens under crossfire.
which is a possibility and an honest mistake... anonymous7 was wrong on more or less every account in everyway though. crossfire is useless if you have a decent card and don't go much past 1280*1024 or so...
sli and corssfire is better for dual monitors cuz its half the workload... the problem with the 7950 GX2 is it only splits pipes for one monitor... not 2... and i said nothing about either of them being better than one another.. when i baught my card it was the only 1 gig card on the shelf's... and i run my 21"wide monitor on 1680x1050.... now that high resolution wouldnt look good on a small monitor.. but it looks pretty damn good on mine.. =D
