ok, I want to create my site. My site is what I like to call MMSRPG (Massive Multiplayer Story Role Playing Game), not copyrighted or anything.... we will host several 'story' or 'tabletop' RPGs, similar to Dungeons and Dragons, Final Fantasy themes, etc., etc. where you control your main character and any sub characters, and write out what he says, does, sees, etc. think you get the glimpse now... I have the template made, storylines for a few RPG's, and everything else, but the big question: 1. What forum should I use? IPB 1.3 or 2.0? SMF? others?(Not VB or PHPBB) 2. how can I set up something so noobs won't create 1000 x 'blah' = Spam? Create memberships, or something? I thank you all who helped. Those who spammed, *slap*
1. IPB 2.0, 1.3 is bad. example of SMF plz? 2. Moderators?... Or would u like a mod like GR had for short posts,,,

Catagory->Forum->threads of different rpgs or Catagory(RPGs)->Forum of different RPGs
create memberships/accounts you say? well thats quite easy. would you want the registration to be the one from the forums. will be hard for me to express what i really mean until you choose which forum you are using. i suggest IPB
Make it admin confirm.... So that when they register you have to confirm it before they can start making post. Also, from my vast experiences with bulliten systems I'll give you a run down. If your going free. Then ipb 1.3 is best hands down. Or better yet. Since you probably won't have alot of members, try useing the 2.0 trial version. Unless your going for a nullified version, then vb wins hands down.
