People either need to stfu or shoot themselves...it's only a freakin' sport :P I don't blame Beckham for wanting to bash their heads in >:[

Soccer is a way over-hyped sport. It's simply that it has ridiculous spending on provincial teams, meaning a high level of tension over it. I personally find the game boring. I'd much rather watch rugby.

    It's not only a sport.
People who aren't really into a sport never really understand this, but the team you support means a lot to you, a lot a lot, a lot a lot. Okay, it is only a sport, but for a lot of people, myself included, it's a huge factor in their lives and dismissing it so easily is disregarding the millions upon millions of people who are the same way.

He deserved to be booed, I don't see how he can expect to slate their league off and skip half their season to benefit himself and then go back and want a happy reception.

Actually it is just a sport. So is football, baseball, etc. Unless you are on the team trying to make money for your family, then its a way of life. But if your just some fat fan who plays Fifa Live 09 all day then its not a way of life, you just want it to be

He's European, their outlook on football greatly differs from our outlook on soccer, don't be so single minded and oblivious to other countries cultures.

In some parts of the world, Football means a lot to some people, even more than anything else that matters.

Tons of New Zealanders go all over the world to play for different teams. It's just something that happens. But our sense of national pride is great enough that they always come back. Just look at Dan Carter. Greatest rugby player in the world, just spent a season playing overseas, but now he's getting ready to get back into gear for the Tri-Nations. Good sh!t.

I'm not really a sports fan but c'mon...is booing a player neccessary? For Beckham to lash out at the fans...it must've been more than just boos which I think is completely rediculous and rude. That's like me going to one of your games and boo...not booing and making rude remarks at the team...but just you. Like, really...how would you feel? O_O

There were more than boos. There's were signs too... large signs.

But still, he honestly deserved it. Like Broken said, you can't just expect everything to be all fine and happy when you return from bailing out.

    I agree with Broken 100%.

Also it's funny he comes back saying that the LA fans aren't gonna be that angry with him and that they understand what he's doing, blah blah. And then talks about going back to Milan in January next year. I mean, it's total disrespect to your team and fans. If I were a Galaxy fan I would have booed his ass too.
